Hill’s Pet Nutrition has become a Gold Partner of the World Small Animal Veterinary Association.
Hill’s, the association’s longest-standing industry partner, will support two of the WSAVA’s clinical committees – the Global Nutrition and One Health – and continue to back two initiatives that it runs in collaboration with the association.
Hill’s will also support an annual Outreach project around the WSAVA World Congress. The project involves recruiting volunteer veterinarians to provide care for companion animals in deprived areas or providing continuing education to vets in regions where it is difficult to access.
Mars Petcare has become a Diamond Partner.
Under the terms of the new partnership, individual divisions of the manufacturer will support the Global Nutrition, Animal Wellness and Welfare, Hereditary Disease and the One Health clinical committees.
Mars Petcare represents more than 50 brands in more than 55 countries, which serve the nutrition and health needs of dogs, cats, horses, fish and birds.
WSAVA president Dr Shane Ryan said: “Every year, our plans to help our members with new resources and learning opportunities become more ambitious and support from our industry partners is instrumental in helping us to deliver them.
“We are very grateful to Hill’s for continuing to support us as a Gold Partner and look forward to working with Iveta and her team again this year…
“We are delighted at the opportunity to build an even closer relationship with the team at Mars Petcare and have exciting plans for our partnership.”
