Natural pet care brand Pets Purest has tasted success at two business awards programmes within a week.
On November 20, founders Oli & Evie Bristowe were awarded the Family Business Entrepeneur of the Year Award at the Great British Entrepreneur Awards, one week after being awarded the Small Business Of The Year Award at the British Business Awards.
The Great British Entrepreneur Awards received over 5,000 applications this year, while the British Business Awards were also competitive, celebrating the achievements of small and medium-sized businesses across the UK.
Founded in 2017 by Oliver & Evie Bristowe, Pets Purest was started using only £600 and the business grew to be an £8m revenue brand by 2022. The range of pure and natural products includes Salmon Oil and Himalayan Yak Chew Treats, plus natural remedies for common ailments including sensitive skin, joint pain and digestive issues.
Co-Founder Oli Bristowe said: “When we started Pets Purest, the idea was to create a range of 100% natural products, free from artificial chemicals, preservatives and fillers.
“The whole team that we have built since are all equally passionate about pet wellbeing and that’s what motivates us to drive the brand forward. Any awards we pick up along the way are great, but that’s not why we do what we do.”
Maisie McDowell, head of growth at Pets Purest, added: “Making the shortlist for these awards is an achievement in its own right given the calibre of the competition.
“Winning not only one, but two of these awards in the space of a week is a fantastic achievement and testament to the hard work of the whole team over the last 12 months.”
