Pet treats manufacturer The Innocent Pet has donated its largest donation of treats to date.
The Yorkshire-based family business gave nearly 400kg of grain free, air-dried treats to more than 40 animal rescues and dog charities last year, following the introduction of a zero-treat waste policy.
Marketing executive Charlotte Wright said: “It’s fantastic to see so much effort put into not only reducing waste but offering animals an extra treat that they may ordinarily not have.
“We ask for rescue nominations through our social media pages, and our customers choose which charity they would like to receive a lovely donation of treats. We think it’s so important because many of our customers own pets who have come from these very rescues”.
