Rawhide alternative SmartBones has extended its distribution in the UK to all major wholesalers, with the hope that the move will support brand awareness and pet stores looking to stock the range.
Available in a range of flavours, SmartBones are low in fat and made from vegetables including corn, sweet potatoes, peas and carrots with a chicken or beef layer.
“Thanks to these multiple layers, dogs can enjoy a healthy treat, which is enriched with vitamins and minerals to provide more nutritional value than traditional rawhide chews,” said Gemma Serdet, brand manager at SmartBones.
“We’re really excited to be in a position where we can better support pet retailers looking to stock the SmartBones range. Chewing is an essential activity for dogs as it helps to keep them happy and healthy by cleaning their teeth and promoting a strong jaw, as well as preventing boredom. Dogs should be encouraged to chew, but in a safe and satisfying way, and that’s why we really want to raise awareness of the SmartBones range.”
SmartBones are available in a range of sizes and flavours with an RRP starting from £2 although pricing is up to individual retailers, of course.
