The Nutriment Company has made another acquisition with the takeover of Bulmer Pet Foods, a supplier of frozen raw dog food, natural treats and accessories, based in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire,
The deal marks the European group’s fifth acquisition in 2025.
The move “marks another key step in our mission to delivering natural raw pet food to more consumers across the continent”, said Nutriment in a company statement. Bulmer, the statement added, has “built a strong reputation for offering natural raw pet food at an affordable price without compromising on quality or nutrition.”
Nutriment UK md Peter Roy said: “The transaction marks an exciting new chapter for the business while ensuring full continuity in the service, quality and products you know and trust.”
He reassured Bulmer customers that existing points of contact, ordering processes and delivery timelines remain unchanged. The business will continue to be led by current chief executive Mark Sharman.
Sharman added: “Joining forces with The Nutriment Company marks a major milestone for our company. With the resources and expertise of the new team, we’re unlocking entirely new opportunities for growth and success.”
The Nutriment Company acquired another British raw food producer, The Dog’s Butcher, in January.
