Wilsons Pet Food has launched a new service model designed to provide stockists of all sizes with the opportunity to stock their own range of raw frozen dog food in their own brand.
The long-established Scottish company currently produces its own branded range of cold pressed and raw frozen dog food, and has created a new dedicated business unit to provide stockists with a way to ‘enhance their own brand by capitalising on new market trends and innovation’.
This new range, made in Wilsons’ purpose-built factory, will continue to follow Wilsons’ ethos of using 100% natural ingredients and will be sourced from local produce. Recipes include a range of human grade, single-sourced protein including chicken, lamb, beef and turkey, which can come with or without offal.
NO EXTRA COST
The 1kg pouches are made with recycled and recyclable plastic and have a resealable top and cardboard fold-over to include all nutritional information along with the stockist’s own logo at no extra cost.
Head of sales Dan Griffin, who already has a ‘long list’ of pre-orders from existing Wilsons stockists, said: “In the pet food industry, I’m constantly amazed by the dedication and passion shown by independent pet shop owners and the care they take in sourcing only the best products for their customers.
“By offering no set up fee and a minimum order of just 24kg, it enables independents to provide a quality product with their own name attached to support their current offering for their loyal customer base.”
The new service will be launched at Crufts, at the NEC, Birmingham, on March 5-8.
Wilsons Pet Food was established in Scotland in 1861 and now has two purpose-built factories in Perthshire and Blairgowrie.
