The Pet Food Manufacturers’ Association (PFMA) has welcomed Yora Pet Foods to its membership.
Yora came to the market amid much media attention thanks to its sustainability-focused credentials and use of insect protein in its diets for dogs.
Nicole Paley, PFMA deputy CEO, said: “It’s perfect timing to have Yora in membership and to work with them on our plans. Sustainability will be a significant part of our Pet Food Vision going forward and alternative protein sources is an area of interest.”
Will Bisset, zales and innovation director at Yora, has already got stuck in to PFMA activity by joining the Communications and Veterinary Nutrition Working Groups.
“The PFMA enables our company to have a voice and make important decisions based on safety and scientific research,” he said. “Since joining I have been impressed by the collaborative and forward-thinking nature of the PFMA and would highly recommend membership to other companies.”
