Amanda Holden
TV personality Amanda Holden has been revealed as this year’s Animal Loving Celebrity for Wetnose Day.
Andrea and Gavin Gamby-Boulger set up the campaign organiser Wetnose Animal Aid – a non-profit organisation raising funds for sick animals in care across the UK – in 2000.
Since then the charity has grown with celebrity support, has raised more than £265,000 and supported small animal rescues centres all over the country.
‘Britain’s Got Talent’ judge Amanda said: “Animal Rescue Centres across the UK are in desperate need of funds so they can rescue, rehabilitate and rehome pets. These centres are experiencing fewer donations but an increasing number of animals…Please join me and support those without a voice.”
Wetnose Day aims to encourage schools, workplaces, vets, groomers, dog clubs, riding schools and members of the public to pose with their nose, which can be bought on its website. The event will be held on September 20.
