Doggy day care brand Bruce’s is hosting pop-up kissing booths across the UK this weekend, where members of the public can shower a dog with affection and learn about the benefits of pet ownership.
The booths will be manned by members of the Bruce’s team who will be on hand to answer any questions on dog ownership and its benefits, and discuss the Bruce’s offering. The booths will be appearing in Wellington Country Park, Wellington; Victoria Park, Haywards Heath, West Sussex; Dobbies Garden Centre, Woodcote Green, Woodcote; and Notcutts Garden Centre, Solihull on February 18.
Research by Samaritan’s has found that one in 10 adults feel lonely, insecure, or depressed on Valentine’s Day, and 40% generally associate the holiday with negative emotions. However, petting a dog has been proven to boost serotonin and dopamine levels, helping relieve anxiety and depression (study by Dr Jane Manno, a psychiatrist at the Cleveland Clinic).
Established in 2008, Bruce’s now operates nine sites across the UK, including the most recently opened Bruce’s Solihull.
