A woman who thought it would be nice to have hens in her backyard has been forced to give them up after they disrupted the council estate.
The hens turned out to be cockerels and woke the entire neighbourhood in Liverpool with their crowing.
Her daughter posted a plea on Facebook asking for help to rehome them. Her post sparked dozens of comments, reported the Liverpool Echo, with many people saying the experience of being sold hens that weren’t females was all too common.
