The finalists of the largest international championship of dog pulling have been held online.
In all, 91 handlers and dogs took part from 14 countries, including Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Hungary, Portugal, Czech Republic, Finland, Japan, Israel, Poland, South Korea, Canada, Moldova and Germany.
Due to coronavirus restrictions, participants filmed their performance and sent videos to the international referee team, who studied the materials and scored according to the official rules. The competition was held in seven categories: Micro, Mini, Midi, Maxi, Drive, Heavyweight and Belgian Shepherds (the last category is unofficial).
Dog pulling is a dog fitness sport involving running and jumping to retrieve a ring toy. The full list of winners is available on the Dog Puller Facebook page.
“We are grateful to all the participants who joined the championship, and plan the next event to be held in May,” said the president of the International Federation of Dog Pullers Varvara Petrenko.
