Birmingham Dogs Home’s annual Family Fun Day and Dog Show has raised more than £5,000 for the rescue centre.

As many as 18 dogs gave birth under the care of the Birmingham Dogs Home in 2023, and three litters have already been born this year. By creating more ‘whelping units’ within the charities various sites, the charity will be able to offer a safe and caring environment for both mum and puppies during birth and the early stages of their life.
Activities at the fund day included the ‘Waggiest Tail’ and ‘Best Trick’ competitions, plus raffles, a tombola, and a prize draw.
Head of fundraising & communications Fi Harrison said: “We are delighted to have raised so much money to help towards our fundraising goals.
“We always love welcoming back our rescue dogs and meeting our supporters. We are so grateful to Ancol Pet Products, our headline sponsors, who do so much to support our charity.
