A chicken lover has become such good friends with her rescue bird that they sunbathe, shop and watch TV together.
Angel Muiri, from Melbourne, Australia, adopted Chookie after a vet revealed she had no home to go to and the pair bonded instantly, reported the Daily Mail.
Angel said: “She’s the most adorable and special animal. Chickens are so cute and quirky and really do have their own little personalities.
“For years I’ve been talking about wanting a lap chicken and she just came along out of nowhere.
“I sometimes take her down to the store on my shoulder so she can meet people and sometimes we have ice-cream dates.”
