Great British Bake Off finalist Kim-Joy will be able to indulge two of her favourite passions when she judges a competition for Cats Protection.
Kim-Joy’s twin loves are baking and cats so she was delighted to be asked to judge the charity’s Pawsome Afternoon Tea at Your Place competition taking place throughout July.
Amateur bakers are being asked to take part in weekly cat-themed baking challenges and then to post the results on social media in return for making a small donation.
Cats Protection will select weekly winners, with Kim-Joy choosing the overall winner at the end of the month.
The Bake Off finalist is hoping the competition will help raise extra cash for the charity, which cares for unwanted cats and kittens.
She said: “My own two rescue cats, Inki and Mochi, are my pride and joy and they cheer me up every day. They sit with me whenever I compose recipes or bake and then they like to rip up the kitchen roll when my back is turned! I wouldn’t be without them!”
