A cat owner was shocked to discover that her pet kitten was actually an incredibly rare wolf-cat.
Brianna Walton, 29, feared her seven-month-old kitten, Gracie, could be sick, when she started losing huge clumps of fur, the Mirror reports.
The cat lover from Maine in the US, was fostering two adult cats when one gave birth to a litter of kittens. Brianna decided to keep one, which she called Gracie, but realised something wasn’t right when Gracie began losing all her fur.
A vet said it was caused by a rare genetic mutation, making Gracie a wolf-cat. Also known as Lykoi, these are domestic cats with just one coat of fur that molts every six months – so they resemble werewolves.
