A Grandmother returned from a trip to Australia to discover a live snake curled up inside a shoe in her suitcase.
The reptile had smuggled itself on to Moira Boxall’s 9,000-mile flight from Queensland to Glasgow.
Paul Airlie, Moira’s son-in-law, said that she had initially mistaken the creature for a toy. After realising the snake was real, Paul contacted the SSPCA and rescue officer Taylor Johnstone removed it from the property, reported the Sky News.
The charity identified the snake as a non-venomous spotted python and said it is now in quarantine.
