A Cheshire vet practice has been entrusted with the care of police dogs on the frontline.
Willows Veterinary Hospital, in Northwich, had been looking after dogs from the Cheshire Constabulary for six years and after Cheshire joined forces with North Wales Police to form the Alliance Dog Section, its now cares for the animals from both forces.
Willows vet Alan Redpath said: “These are working dogs that are very good at what they do and they have to be fit for what they do…
“It is a real feather in our cap to be entrusted with caring for them as they perform such an important role in society.”
