Pet-friendly travel site PetsPyjamas has revealed its predictions for the six ‘dog-friendly travel trends’ of 2019.
Predictions include ‘Sniffer Trips’, multi-stop trips around the UK such as hotel-hopping through Cornwall, Devon and Dorset; and ‘It’s All About The Dog’, staying at hotels around the UK that also cater to dogs’ wellbeing, such as London’s Egerton House Hotel, which offers them an afternoon tea and bed menu.
This is in light of a forecast 25% increase in pet spending from £1.7bn over the next five years.
Karen Hanton, co-founder of PetsPyjamas, said: “Just as we may look for features such as a pool or spa for our own needs, more owners are also looking for features that will appeal or work for their dogs…
“As a business, we often look to what’s happening in the human world and consider how that might translate to pets, to give our two and four-legged customers the best dog-friendly experience possible.”
