Fire services and the RSPCA rescued an elderly cat that was stranded after climbing out of a fourth-storey window.
The charity was called to West Park, in Harrogate, Yorkshire, after the ginger-and-white cat, called Alfie, had climbed out of the window of their home, on to a roof.
Deputy Chief Inspector Claire Mitchell attended but was unable to access the roof with ladders so she called the fire services to see if they could help. North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue then attended with a cherry picker to bring the cat to safety.
