Cheeky Little Prints founder Lisa Berry is celebrating 12 years of making paw-print jewellery and gifts for pet lovers.
The former veterinary nurse originally set up in business in 2009 when her eldest son was just 10 months old. Now 38, she runs the web-based business from her home office in Swindon, Wiltshire.
Lisa captures the paw prints from cats, dogs, guinea pigs and even a mouse and a tortoise, imprinting them into sterling silver jewellery. Orders are shipped all across the UK and globally.
Lisa said “I feel honoured to be able to create special keepsakes for pet parents. Being able to touch and hold your furbaby’s unique paw print whenever you need to feel connected with them is incredibly powerful. The comfort pet owners get when they have paw print jewellery created is very impactful, especially if their beloved pet is no longer by their side.”
She added: “As a pet owner myself I know how much comfort I get from having our cat Tiger’s paw print on my bangle with me wherever I go. It helps me stay connected with her especially after we suddenly and unexpectedly lost her in April 2019.”
The business continues to go from strength to strength and the latest collection of jewellery encases a little of the pet’s fur or cremation ashes in silver and resin. The new range has already proven popular with the first order received within hours of launch.
“The most beautiful thing about running this pet-based business is that every unique piece of jewellery I create has a special story behind it. Being a big animal lover myself, I love speaking with pet parents and hearing all about their lovely pets,” she said.
Lisa won an Excellence in Customer Care Award in October 2020 at the Single Mums in Business Network Awards to mark the exceptional customer service she provides to pet parents.
