Jollyes is capitalising on local interest for the Stockton International Riverside Festival (SIRF) for the opening of its new store in the Teesside town.
The 5,000 square feet store at Lustrum Retail Park, Stockton-on-Tees, will open on Saturday August 6 in a retail unit that has stood empty for some time. The new Jollyes’ team of 10 staff will be led by manager Dave Coe.
Activities for the opening day include goody bags for the first 100 customers, balloons for children, and an appearance from the company’s Stroke Squad van, where visitors can meet dogs from Maxi’s Mates Rescue and Rehoming Centre in nearby Dunsdale.
Jane Galliford from Maxi’s Mates will perform the official ribbon cutting with Coe and regional manager Kerry Midgely.
Midgely said: “We’ve picked a great day to open our doors during the Stockton International Riverside Festival when the whole region will be buzzing which will help to get us off to a fun-packed start.
“Teesside is going to be a great location for us and we’re looking forward to welcoming pet owners and their pets into our new store and to playing our part in the local community.”
The range available at the new store includes dog and cat food, toys and accessories, food, treats and accessories for small pets, birds and fish.
