Jollyes opened its latest new store on Saturday (January 28).
The new outlet, at Rex Trade Centre, Maskew Avenue in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, is the company’s 85th UK store.
The opening event included a ‘Pet Proms’ performance of light opera from local singer Gabriella Pineda-Rodrigues, accompanied by her cockerpoo Scamp, followed by the ribbon-cutting with the deputy mayor of Peterborough, Councillor Nick Sandford and deputy mayoress Alderman Bella Saltmarsh, alongside Jollyes’ chief executive Joe Wykes.
The 4,400sq ft store will initially employ 10 colleagues, led by new store manager Tracy Shipman.
Jollyes’ regional manager Sarah Farrar said: “We’re so excited to be opening in Peterborough and bringing Jollyes to Cambridgeshire for the first time.
The retailer’s next opening will be at Port Glasgow, Inverclyde at the end of February.
