Jollyes opened its latest store, at Nuneaton in Warwickshire, on June 28.
The branch, the 103rd opened by the retailer, includes a frozen raw food ‘shop within a shop’ and a community pet clinic and is located at Newtown Road Retail Park.
The store was officially opened by National Foundation for Retired Service Animals (NFRSA) founder and chair The Countess Bathurst, to mark a new partnership between the retailer and the charity, which will see Jollyes stores will be raising money for NFRSA over the next 12 months, with collections matched by the retailer up to £20,000.
During the launch day, mascots Molly and Jolly took to the streets of Nuneaton to promote the store and Jollyes’ ‘Pet Manifesto’ document. Activity continued on Saturday June 29 with an entertainer and pet theme gameshows, plus animal-themed stilt walkers.
Store manager Andy Kineton said: “It was a great day and I’d like to thank the whole team for getting the store ready to open as well as new charity partners NFRSA.
“We’re really looking forward to working with them.”
