Retailer Jollyes is teaming up with Wrexham’s UK City of Culture 2025 bid to hold a ‘Pet Passion Show’ when it opens its new store in the town on May 7.
The show, which the retailer claims will be the first of its kind ever held in Britain, will take place on a red carpet outside the North Wales store on opening day. The event will aim to celebrate how pets can lift their owners’ lives by finding the 10 most amazing relationships between pets and their owners in the area.
Applications from owners of all kinds of pets can be made by posting pictures and their stories at the Jollyes Instagram site with the hashtag #JollyesPetParade.
Jollyes’ new Wrexham store will feature “The Spa”, the retailer’s dedicated dog grooming salon, and a pet clinic. Owners selected to take part in the show will get a Jollyes goody bag and their pets will get a free makeover in the spa.
Chief operating officer Joe Wykes said: “Wrexham is the perfect location for us to open what will be one of our flagship stores. Not only do we know that the people of Wrexham love their pets, but they also live in of one of the most vibrant boroughs in the UK that as the 2025 City of Culture bid shows, is going places. We can’t wait to open our doors in May.”
