Just for Pets Coventry store
Just for Pets, the specialist pet chain saved from administration three years ago, is about to celebrate the opening of its latest store this weekend.
The new store on Fosse Way, Nottingham – beside East Bridgford Garden Centre – is a popular destination for shoppers particularly during the Christmas period. As an essential retailer it is set to open on Saturday and will be the chain’s 17th store.
Leanne Blunn, head of buying at Just for Pets, said: “As well as our current customer favourites we’ve been able to bring new additions to the East Bridgford site, including seasonal displays and gifting which we’re sure will prove popular with the existing footfall on site.”
Store teams will be enrolled on Just for Pets’ new training programme PETS (the Pet Education Training Scheme), developed by Hannah Molloy of Pawfect Dogsense and Channel 4’s Puppy School, which will equip the team with improved product and pet knowledge to pass on to their customer base.
The Just for Pets chain won PetQuip’s UK Pet Retailer of the Year in 2019, since when the team has started to look for more stores to add to its now stable business.
“We’re looking to take on couple of stores in the coming months and are open to opportunities with existing shops or new locations,” general manager Paul Lewis told pbwnews.
He continued: “This is in no way any part of a mass expansion plan, but we want to keep moving forwards. Of course, we will continue to invest in our existing estate but we know there is a demand for the Just for Pets style of retailing outside of our current geographical locations, and if the right stores come along then they would be considered.”
