A Lincolnshire pet shop has temporarily closed after a staff member tested positive for covid-19.
Potty About Pets, in Louth, is expected to be closed for around 10 days, and is not expected to reopen until February 11 at the earliest.
“Unfortunately, a staff member and a family member has tested positive for covid-19 so by law we are now closed. We are absolutely devastated,” said owner Meg Johnson.
Posting on the shop’s Facebook page, Meg added: “We have tried to notify everyone that has regular orders from us so they can arrange alternative pet supplies for the coming days.
“We have put signs on the door and also changed the shop voicemail so anyone calling for an order will be notified. We are so sorry for the inconvenience caused.
“We hope that once we are open again (when everyone is legally allowed and well enough to do so) that we will see all our valued customers again.
“We would like to thank all our customers for the support you have given the shop particularly through these trying times.”
