Retailer Pets Corner is to open its first “worldwide flagship” store in Ascot, Berkshire, next month.
The store, the 151st branch opened by the company, will feature an extended product range along with the company’s Dogwood natural grooming salon and Pet Practice veterinary service.
Dean Richmond, founder and chief executive of Pets Corner, said: “Pets Corner Ascot is our 151st opening, and it’s thanks to the loyal custom we’ve had from customers since our launch over 55 years ago. Pet owners are more discerning than ever, as pets are often the most important member of the household, and our products offer higher standards of quality, integrity, and welfare.
“The Ascot store is our first worldwide flagship which will showcase our natural products to visiting international trade customers and offers our UK customers an extended product range with our award-winning natural grooming and veterinary services.”
The grand opening, taking place on the weekend of September 9-10, will be a family-focused event with free face painting and ice cream. The first 50 customers who make a purchase at the store will receive a gift bag.
Proceeds from all purchases made over the weekend will be donated to the retailer’s charity of the year, Canine Partners, which assists people with disabilities to enjoy greater independence and quality of life through the provision of dogs specially-trained to help with everyday tasks. Some of the dogs from Canine Partners will be in attendance at the opening event.
