Dewkes Pet Store has opened a second outlet in Swansea, little more than a year after opening its first.
The new store is in the Sketty district of the city, complementing the original store in Mumbles, which opened in January 2021.
The independent, family-run business has a dog spa and grooming service as well as stocking an extensive range of food and treats for a variety of pets.
Director James Bygate told Business News Wales: “Since we started in Mumbles last January, we have been overwhelmed by the positive reaction we have received from our customers and are thrilled to be opening our second shop in such a short space of time.
“We wanted to create an environment where our passion for pets shines through, and thanks to the hard work of my wife Jane, our Manager Sally-Ann Stevens and the rest of the team, we’ve created a retail experience that both our customers and their pets can enjoy.”
The retailer has also invested in a new website offering a number of new features and benefits, including a subscription service for regular deliveries on a weekly, monthly or bi-monthly basis.
