An ethical pet shop and grooming parlour that gives all the money it makes to helping animals has opened in Clifton and is looking for volunteers.
BARC Clifton is a not-for-profit shop run by Bristol Animal Rescue Centre, the city’s oldest and largest animal welfare charity.
According to a report from BristolLive, the new store sells organic pet food and treats along with environmentally friendly toys for cats and dogs.
It also offers a grooming service, including a quick treatment for dogs that have been on muddy walks.
“We stock everything your four-legged family member needs – plus one or two things for owners, too,” assistant shop manager Suzie Booton told BristolLive. “Our experienced groomers cater for all ages and breeds and use only non-animal tested, cruelty-free products.”
The shop is currently looking for volunteers to help out serving customers and stocking shelves.
