UK subscription-based pet food business, tails.com, is now live for customers in Sweden, Denmark, Belgium, Austria, the Netherlands and Ireland.
There has been a high demand for online retail since covid-19, and the company says international growth is now a significant focus for its tailored pet food service, having launched for dog owners in France in 2019 and Germany earlier this year.
Despite the impact of coronavirus, high demand for online retail and a growing trend for personalised nutrition have contributed to tails.com expanding faster than planned. In the coming months, the international focus will be on growing its customer base across the additional territories as well as investing in country-specific marketing and team members.
PERSONALISATION
James Davidson, CEO and co-founder, said: “The vision has always been to change the world of pet food for good. Delivering world-leading personalisation for our customers’ dogs has meant that we’ve built our manufacturing and digital services from the ground up, including capability for international expansion.
“This next phase of growth is testament to the hard work of a passionate and dedicated tails.com team. I’m excited to be offering another 5.5 million European dog owners across six countries the chance to experience the difference that tails.com’s tailored nutrition can make.”
Tails.com currently delivers more than nine million meals a month to 200,000 customers.
