Tesco is raising its limit on contactless payments – which are quicker and safer – be from £30 to £45.
The move recognises that in the current climate, customers are shopping less frequently and, therefore, need to spend ‘a little more’ each time.
The grocery giant is asking shoppers to be patient while it updates its tills around the UK.
