McDonald’s staff had a surprise guest when a snake was found abandoned in the restaurant.
The corn snake, thought to be around three weeks old, was found at the fast food outlet in Middlesbrough, Teesside, in a plastic takeaway tub.
The staff member contacted the RSPCA, which sent animal collection officer Shane Lynn to pick up the reptile.
“It looks as though he’s been abandoned by someone who can no longer provide him with the care he needs,” he said.
The abandoned snake was taken to a specialist, where it would be cared for, before being either returned to its owner or re-homed, reported the Guardian.
