Jollyes has announced plans to open two new stores in Scotland.
The new branches will be at Edinburgh and Glenrothes in Fife. Following the opening of an outlet at Stirling in June and existing stores in Clydebank and Perth, it takes Jollyes’ total investment in Scotland to nearly £1 million across five Scottish stores this year.
The 5,000sq ft Glenrothes store, located at Saltire Retail Park, will open on Saturday September 24 and will employ 10 colleagues led by store manager Garry Bingham.
The branch in Edinburgh, at Hermiston Gait Retail Park, measures 7,500sq ft and is scheduled for an Autumn opening. The site, which will include Jollyes’ grooming salon concept The Spa, will have 15 colleagues led by manager Angela Rennie, who is moving from the Stirling outlet.
Both new stores will sell small animals, as well as a wide range of pet foods and accessories.
Jollyes regional manager Kerry Midgley said: “Scots love their pets and where we have a store, Jollyes has become the go-to destination for pet owners. We’re continuing to look at other locations and strongly believe Scotland will be an important area of growth for Jollyes in the future.
“The investment we’re making at Glenrothes and Edinburgh builds on the success of our existing stores and with five stores across Scotland we are now starting to create a significant footprint and becoming a name that will become increasingly familiar.”
