Online retailer Your Dog’s Club is moving into a new phase of its development as an online community.
Chief executive Jon Ralph told PBW News: “We started as a retail offering, and we are now moving in the direction of becoming a community for like-minded dog owners.
“We are looking to bring in online support services by the end of the year, covering training, behaviour, nutrition so we will be able to provide online support for everything to do with your dog.”
The website will also be able to offer veterinary advice via VidiVet as well as advice on wider topics such as taking on a rescue dog. Your Dogs Club is also providing offline advice to business organisations about separation anxiety and other pet behavioural issues as employees return to workplaces, and is also aiming to work closely with dogs and cats homes to reduce bounce-backs from adoptions.
“We want to give the best support possible for those people who want to be responsible dog owners,” added Ralph.
Your Dogs Club is also developing a “cat flap” within its core offer by offering a range of cat products for customer households with cats as well as dogs.
The company’s most recent seeder campaign successfully reached its funding target, enabling the appointment of Nicola Fitzmaurice as the new managing director. Fitzmaurice has extensive experience in the fields of both e-commerce and membership programmes.
