JBL has stepped up its commitment to recycling and now presses its own paper and cardboard for recycling.
Traditionally, all paper and cardboard is sent to a recycling yard where it is pressed before being transported to its final recycling destination. However, JBL has acquired two paperboard presses to press all paper and cardboard onsite, thereby bypassing the first stage, saving on transport costs and cutting down its carbon footprint.
A spokesman said: “Our company was happy to invest in the two presses for such a good cause. At the same time we are continuing to work intensively on waste avoidance, because no waste is always better than recycled waste.”
