Work is under way on a new £2.5 million veterinary hospital in Cheshire.
Woodcroft Veterinary Group, part of VetPartners, is transforming a former office block in Cheadle into a state-of-the-art hospital after outgrowing its current premises.
Plans for the 11,000 square feet hospital include 10 consulting rooms, six operating theatres, an intensive care unit, CT scanner, MRI scanner, ultrasound and endoscopy facilities. The practice’s dental, orthopaedic and emergency out-of-hours service will also transfer to the site.
Building work is expected to finish by September, with the hospital due to open in October.
Mark Allington, VetPartners’ northwest business development director, said building a new veterinary hospital had been a long-held dream of the practice and had been made possible by investment from VetPartners.
