Pet food manufacturer Pets Choice has made its first acquisition of 2019, expanding its portfolio to 10 brands.
The sale, completed yesterday (Monday), saw the Lancashire-based business acquire the Rufus Foods brand.
Rufus Foods has produced complete for both dogs and cats of all ages for more than 30 years.
Tony Raeburn, Pets Choice CEO, said: “We are excited to announce the recent addition of Rufus Foods to our portfolio. It complements our existing brand set perfectly, as it has a lot of heritage and great loyalty amongst its customer base.
“Moving forward, we will continue to supply Rufus Foods to its existing customer base, but, in line with our growth plans, we are also looking to build on the brand and the solid base that it already holds.”
Pets Choice’s portfolio now comprises 10 brands offering a variety of products for pets and wild animals, including well-known brands Meatiful, TastyBone and Webbox.
