Scientists have found an extremely rare fish in the Rio Grande along the US-Mexico border.
The Conchos shiner, Cyprinella panarcys, was identified for the first time last April, in the mainstream of the Rio Grande in Presidio County, Texas.
Previously, the Conchos shiner was considered restricted to the upper parts of the Río Conchos drainage in Mexico, said the paper which was published in the Biodiversity Data Journal.
